Tree Planting
Assemblyman Reilich participates in the Annual Arbor Day Tree Planting. This annual tradition recognizes members of our community who have had significant contributions to our town and our community.
Chairman of the Assembly Small Business Task Force
As a small business owner for over 30 years, Assemblyman Reilich was chosen to chair the Assembly Small Business Task Force. He is shown here listening to the concerns of small business owners. Assemblyman Reilich realized that because of the nature of their business, many small business owners cannot compete with the large lobbying groups that make frequent trips to Albany. He believes that by reaching out to small business owners throughout the state, right in their own neighborhood he can better advance the business climate for all New Yorkers.
There ought to be a law
Each year Assemblyman Reilich invites students from throughout the district to participate in his "There Ought to Be A Law" Contest. This contest encourages 4th graders to "think outside of the box" and come up with legislative ideas THEY think would be good laws to have in New York. This year's class is from Buckman Heights. Each year the Assemblyman treats the students to a day at the Capital complete with behind the scenes tours and a great pizza lunch. Look for additional photos as we follow the path of this year's winning class when they join the Assemblyman in Albany.
Opening Day 2008
April Showers don't just bring May Flowers -- they also signal the start of Little League. Assemblyman Bill Reilich is shown here donating some practice bats to Greece Little League's President Gene Noga. He is joined by Senator Robach, Supervisor Auberger and Legislator Mark Cassetti as they kick off another successful season.
Eagle Scout's
We are fortunate in Monroe County to have the largest concentration of new Eagle Scouts in the State. Assemblyman Reilich is shown here with two recent Eagle Scouts. I never tire of attending these ceremonies, what a wonderful chance to meet our best and brightest.
Veterans Day
Assemblyman Reilich is joined by Ogden Supervisor,Gay Lenhard, Spencerport Village Board Members and members of the Ferris Goodridge Post for a Veterans Ceremony. Assemblyman Reilich is a member of the Sons of the American Legion. His father was a twice-wounded WW II veteran who fought proudly to defend our freedoms.
Against Driver's Licenses to Illegal Aliens
Assemblyman Reilich was asked to travel to NYC to participate in a hearing regarding the issuing of Driver's Licenses to Illegal Aliens. Testimony was presented from law enforcement, many Federal agencies and boarder patrol agents all expressing their deep concerns with the proposal.
Speaking out in Monroe County
Assemblyman Reilich was proud to partner with his Assembly colleagues throughout NYS as well as County Clerk Cheryl Dinolfo in gathering support, raising their voices and encouraging all of our fellow citizens to reject the proposal made by the former Governor. Bill was pleased that with the overflowing support of the entire community and the state this policy was defeated.
Speaking to Mayor Bloomberg
Assemblyman Reilich is discussing Medicaid costs with Mayor Bloomberg. The Medicaid burden is placing pressure on State and County budgets. This is an issue that Reilich and his conference support reform and further cost reductions. Many pieces of legislation have been introduced in the Assembly but are being blocked by Down State members. We will continue the fight and apply pressure until reform happens.
Standing with the Senate Majority
Assemblyman Reilich stands with Senator Joe Robach, Supervisor John Auberger, Chamber President Jodie Perry and representatives from Bryant and Stratton to address the outrageous prices we are all paying at the pump.
Continuing to Speak out on Gas prices in Albany
Bill Reilich does not say one thing in the district and then do another in Albany. Here the Assemblyman is speaking out on the high cost of gasoline and supporting legislation to eliminate all state taxes on gasoline through Labor Day 2008. Reilich has a record of being consistent throughout his time serving the people.
Reading in the classroom
Reading with and to our children is a wonderful thing. Assemblyman Reilich never misses an opportunity to spend time reading with the students at Canal View Elementary as an annual guest reader.
SUNY Day in Albany
Bill meets with the Brockport student government. Bill has been on campus many times meeting with students and appearing on the college radio station. Communication is important and good listening skills are whats needed as a representative.
Working with our Fire fighters
Assemblyman Bill Reilich is joined by members of the North Greece Fire Department. Bill helped secure funding for a sound system to be used by the department for Fire Prevention Awareness training used at schools throughout the town. This equipment will also be available if needed at any fire emergency in the town.
