Assemblyman Bill Reilich was honored to serve as the Grand Marshall for the 2008 Barnard Parade. A tradition in Greece for more that 85 years, the Barnard Parade is enjoyed by young and old alike.
It was tough to keep Bill in the Grand Marshall's car so he split his time waving to the crowd and as he always prefers, climbing out to greet the parade goers along the route. "What a great day for a parade, I enjoy seeing so many friends and supporters enjoying time with their families" said Reilich.
Thankfully the rain held out and all that attended and marched along the parade route enjoyed every minute - from the first sirens to the great music and many great groups in between. "Where else would you rather be than right here, right now." Reilich commented.
Many thanks to the Barnard Fire Department, The Barnard Exempts and the Auxiliary that donate so much time to make this event so successful and enjoyable for the whole community.
